CANNONDALE SYNAPSE BLACK INC HI-MOD ULTEGRA ROAD BIKE 2016

A bike for those who like to ride all day, in comfort, yet also demand performance and want to push themselves and their bike to the limit. The Cannondale Synapse Hi-Mod Ultegra Road Bike 2016 adopts the disc brake system and couples it with Cannondale S.E.R.G. geometry, which offers an engaging ride.

Offering a balance between an all out race position and a more upright position, ideal for fast sportives and road miles. This geometry is paired with a Synapse SAVE PLUS, BallisTec Carbon fork and Shimano’s, latest, 11-speed, Ultegra 6800 groupset for crisp and reliable shifting.

One of the lightest and stiffest cranksets on the market, the Cannondale HollowGram Si has been used here to provide smooth shifting and optimised power transfer.

Disc brakes offer immense stopping power and the Shimano RS685 hydraulic disc brakes, with 140 millimetre rotors, are no different. As you’d expect from a Shimano product these brakes are reliable, easy to maintain and perform well under pressure.

Synapse Endurance Race Geometry: With its slightly taller head tube, slightly longer wheelbase and slightly slacker head angle, S.E.R.G. strikes the ideal balance between pure race positioning and upright comfort. • Save Plus Micro-Suspension System: The Save Plus Micro-suspension system is a three part system, comprised of the carbon lay-up, the rear triangle and fork, and the seatpost and seat tube, all designed to collaborate seamlessly to reduce vibration, improve handling, and increase comfort.
• Save Plus Micro-Suspension System (Seatpost and Seat Tube): The elegantly scalloped seat tube and the smaller diameter 25.4mm seatpost are designed to flex together to provide more comfort when seated. The integrated collarless seat clamp allows more of the seatpost to flex than with a traditional clamp.
• Save Plus Micro-Suspension System (Rear Triangle and Fork): The frame and fork’s carbon layup is designed to optimise high-frequency vibration dissipation, reducing road buzz. The radical helixed shapes of the chain stays and seat stays work in conjunction with the offset dropout fork to allow the wheels to track over imperfections in the road for better handling and control, seated or standing.
• Power Pyramid/BB30A: The seat tube splits asymmetrically to meet a new wider BB30A bottom bracket, for maximum stiffness with minimal weight.
• Disc Brakes: The disc frames and forks feature a completely revised carbon layup designed to handle the different loads of disc brakes while still delivering the incredible compliance the Synapse is known for. The unique ReachAround rear mount makes brake adjustment easy and allows the use of both SRAM and Shimano standards.

The bike can also be collected in person from our HQ by prior arrangement. We have a stock of quality approved used road bikes, triathlon bikes and mountain bikes for sale.

As a ‘used’ bike, we are happy to offer a 3-month in-house warranty from the date of the sale against manufacturing defects (crash damage and general wear and tear not included).

We do endeavour to supply top quality pre-owned bikes and the photographs and description are fair representations of our bikes, our reviews are good, and we try to look after our customers, many of whom return for additional bikes. Whilst we hold proof of ownership and ID, our bikes may not be supplied with an owner’s manual and other little goodies (we may not receive them) that new bikes may be supplied with direct from manufacturers.
