How do you build a better mountain-taming e-MTB? Simple. Give the CUBE design team a blank sheet of paper and tell them not to compromise. And here’s the result: the brand-new Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC TM. Completely redesigned from head tube to Boost 148 rear axle, it’s the culmination of years of suspension, carbon and Bosch e-bike design experience. With fast-rolling 29er wheels, 150mm of front wheel travel from the Fox 36 Float Performance fork and 140mm at the rear courtesy of the Fox Float DPX2 Performance shock, it’s got the cojones to take on any trail.

Fulcrum E-Metal wheels and Schwalbe Super Gravity 2.6in Magic Mary and Hans Dampf tyres have the strength and grip to take on any mountain route, and the remote dropper post means you can roll through even the steepest chutes. Bosch’s Kiox-controlled, fourth-generation CX drive unit delivers mile after mile of mountain-taming torque to the rear wheel via Sram’s NX Eagle transmission, giving you the range you need to keep climbing when others have long since given up.

And speaking of range, our new Modular Battery System – which encloses the Bosch power unit inside the sleek, carbon down tube – gave our engineers the room they needed to increase the battery’s capacity for even longer days in the mountains. The shock-proof, dust- and moisture-resistant cover is easily accessed via a push button with hidden lock, and we even left room for a bottle cage mount. Larger bearings, chain guide compatibility and chain stay protection with integrated cable routing are just some of the other neat design touches that you’ll appreciate. Although, to be honest, you’ll probably be too busy enjoying the Agile Trail Geometry’s dialled handling to worry about the finer details. Because, after all, that’s what we’re here for: to sweat the details, so that you can just enjoy the ride.

Mountain bike hybrid versatility has a new name, and that name is Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC. Built around Bosch’s new, fourth-generation drive system and drawing on our extensive experience of hybrid power, carbon frame construction and efficient suspension kinematics, it represents a new breed of all-mountain e-MTBs. Our engineering team developed a brand-new concept for this frame, building the CUBE Modular Battery System to hide the Bosch power unit completely inside the sleek carbon down tube. A tough cover provides protection and shock absorption for the battery, whilst push-button access and a hidden lock make it both easy to use and secure from unwelcome attention.

Even better, the new system frees up enough space for the option of a higher capacity battery than before, which translates to extended range and longer days out in the mountains.  The fourth-generation Bosch CX drive unit sits in its own housing, while the aluminium rear triangle features a Boost 148 axle for efficient power transfer, larger bearings for longer life and a linkage designed to fit a trunnion shock. Our All Mountain Geometry is specifically designed to work with the suspension kinematics and Bosch drive system, offering handling that only our fully integrated design is capable of doing – stable, confidence-inspiring and fun. And of course it’s chain guide compatible, there’s a bottle cage mount for carrying tools or water, and integrated cable routing ensures that gears carry on shifting smoothly with minimal maintenance. Because who wants to spend time fiddling with their bike, when another day in the mountains beckons? All Mountain versatility, redefined: that’s the Stereo Hybrid HPC 140.

The bike can also be collected in person from our HQ by prior arrangement. We have a stock of quality approved used road bikes, triathlon bikes and mountain bikes for sale.

As a ‘used’ bike, we are happy to offer a 3-month in-house warranty from the date of the sale against manufacturing defects (crash damage and general wear and tear not included).

We do endeavour to supply top quality pre-owned bikes and the photographs and description are fair representations of our bikes, our reviews are good, and we try to look after our customers, many of whom return for additional bikes. Whilst we hold proof of ownership and ID, our bikes may not be supplied with an owner’s manual and other little goodies (we may not receive them) that new bikes may be supplied with direct from manufacturers.
