Giant Propel Advanced 2 Disc Carbon Aero Road Bike 2022.

Speed ​​redefined or ULTIMATE SPEED, that is the new Propel advanced disc. Total control with super-fast acceleration and easy to keep up to speed. That’s what you get when you design a super stiff, aerodynamically measured from all angles and very light road bike with disc brakes.

The frame of the Giant Propel Advanced disc 2 has been developed with the aerodynamics techniques of Giant’s own Aerosystem shaping technology, this is the result of extensive CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analyzes and dynamic wind tunnel tests. The unique abbreviated elliptical aero tube shapes that result from this have the least air resistance in different wind directions. The Giant Propel disc has an oversized and stiff Powercore bottom bracket that is 86mm wide and suitable for press fit integrated bottom bracket bearings. On this very stiff bottom bracket, the solid chain stays are also asymmetrically connected to transfer the power delivered to the rear wheel.

The front of the Giant Propel is characterized by the Overdrive headset design, the head tube has a 1.25 inch diameter at the bottom and a 1.125 inch diameter at the top for extra stable and sharp handling. The Giant Propel frame has integrated cable routing, an integrated seatpost clamp and is equipped with 12 mm thru axles. Giant introduced the first affordable carbon road bike to the market in 1985 and is considered the manufacturer with the most carbon know-how. Giant is one of the few manufacturers that weaves its carbon itself and develops the carbon resin itself. Carbon Giant Propel frames and forks all come with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.

Thanks to the Giant Contact SL aero handlebar and Giant Contact SL aerodynamic stem with integrated cable routing, the Giant Propel disc has even less air resistance and an aggressive stem. The Giant P-A2 wheelset with the Dynamic balanced spoke principle provide a durable wheelset.

Aerodynamic hydraulic flat mount calipers with 12mm thru-axles provide excellent stopping power and, together with tubeless Giant Gavia tires, provide that edge in grip, rolling resistance and control. The lightweight carbon Vector seatpost ensures that there is never too much air resistance anywhere on the Propel. From the high-quality Giant parts collection comes the renewed Giant Approach “boost” saddle 148 mm wide, a shorter nose with an ergonomic opening and the Giant handlebar tape to keep the contact points with your bike as fine as possible.

The Shimano 105 shifting group is the groupset with the best price/quality ratio in the Shimano range. With the many techniques that are also used on the Shimano Ultegra group, this group is extremely suitable for recreational use. Thanks to its 11-speed cassette, the 105 group has a large gear range and Shimano’s renowned hydraulic disc brakes provide maximum braking power with minimal effort. The Giant Propel advanced 2 disc is equipped with a Shimano 105 R7000 52/36 crankset with a Shimano 105 R7000 11-30 cassette.

As a ‘used’ bike, we are happy to offer a 3-month in-house warranty from the date of the sale against manufacturing defects (crash damage and general wear and tear not included).

We do endeavour to supply top quality pre-owned bikes and the photographs and description are fair representations of our bikes, our reviews are good, and we try to look after our customers, many of whom return for additional bikes. Whilst we hold proof of ownership and ID, our bikes may not be supplied with an owner’s manual and other little goodies (we may not receive them) that new bikes may be supplied with direct from manufacturers.
