Eddy Merckx took part in the Milan-San Remo race 10 times, winning it seven times, with the last being in 1976. Another unique record. La Primavera is recognized as a sprinters’ classic, which is what links it to the speedy SanRemo76.
Light action Vivid Shifting is just one of many features taken from Shimano’s top end groupsets, making the Ultegra 11 speed 6800 groupset a performance option for the masses.
The shifters and derailleurs incorporate Shimano’s Vivid Shift technology, with a light but positive feel all the way through the 11 speed drivetrain, giving you the gear you want, when you want it, with the minimum of effort.
With its two piece hollow axle design, the Shimano Hollowtech II chainset is both stiffer and lighter than a square taper chainset. Mounting the large diameter bearings outboard of the bottom bracket shell also provides increased stiffness and bearing life over standard cartridge units. With 50/34T compact gearing, you can tackle even the steepest climbs with confidence.
Ultegra Dual pivot brake calipers provide excellent braking power, with angle adjustable pads to ensure perfect pad alignment. A quick release lever aids installation and removal of wheels, for transportation or puncture repairs.
