The Megatower is a serious MTB machine. Santa Cruz took the big 29er wheels that everyone loves and combines them with the biggest-hitting suspension system. The result? A machine that can do anything. As comfortable in the hands of committed racers as those wanting to tackle the local trails.
The CC models feature an even lighter weight carbon frame than its C model siblings, whilst remaining stiff enough for efficient power transfer and rugged enough to take on the terrain.
The Megatower features the lower link-driven VPP suspension that was found on Santa Cruz’s V10 downhill bike-utilising two short links that rotate in opposite directions, VPP suspension can be tuned exactly to the needs of each of Santa Cruz’s models. Thanks to Santa Cruz’s experience in tuning, the Megatower’s suspension setup make it the most confidence-inspiring 29er in their range, putting you in total control. Designed for compatibility with air or coil suspension forks, the Megatower will provide you with unparalleled traction and bottom out resistance.
The Megatower is also very adjustable, making it all the more versatile. A subtly designed flip chip in the lower-link allows you to alter bottom bracket height, thus effecting the progressivity of the rear shock. Another chip in the rear drop outs provides 10mm of play in the chainstay length as to alter the riders weight distribution relative to riding style.
Top this off with the sharp, 76 degree seat tube angle for slogging the climbs, and you’ve got a truly awesome MTB stallion.
The CC Model features Rockshox Pike Ultimate forks and RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock, offering 160mm of travel to take on the toughest terrain. The Shimano XT 12 speed groupset provides accurate, smooth shifting alongside SRAM Code’s powerful and controlled braking.
